I’m Playing Hooky From My Blog Today

October 12, 2024 By Barbara Falconer Newhall 2 Comments

I'm playing hooky from my blog today bathroom-tiles-and cabinet-choices
Yes, once again I’ve got too much on my to-do list. But life still has its pleasures. One of them is showing off the tile and cabinetry I’ve picked out for the bathroom remodel . . . The bathroom will look great. The time with the kids will be fun. I’ll sleep better with a rearranged septum. And, with a little luck, I won’t get covid this winter. Photo by Barbara Newhall

I’m playing hooky from my blog today.

Which means this is not a blog post. This is me complaining — again — about my ever-present, ever-unforgiving to-do list.

Which this month includes:

  • Signing a contract for a bathroom remodel.
  • A visit from the kids and grandkids.
  • Surgery on a deviated septum.
  • Work on the re-release of my 2015 book, “Wrestling with God.”
  • Getting the gutters cleaned before the winter rains arrive.
  • Getting the latest covid shot.
  • Feeling achy and sleepy from the covid shot.
  • Taking a nap.

Yes, I’m playing hooky from my blog today. But luckily, I’ve written lots of stuff for blog posts past. Check out, “A Child Is Born. And So Is a Grandpa.”   Also, “Theologian Harvey Cox: You Don’t Have to Believe to Be a Christian.”

And I hear that retirement does not help.
