Lucky me. I got to treat my eyes to hundreds of quilts last month. The occasion was the Voices in Cloth 2016 quilt show put on by East Bay Heritage Quilters at the the Craneway Pavilion on the Richmond, California, waterfront.
I took tons of photos. Here are just a few.
Lots of quilts. Lots of quilters. Lots of vendors selling quilt supplies. And lots of bright California sunshine lighting up the place.
Maybe you could include the names of the longarm quilters who quilted these beautiful quilts at Voices in Cloth?
That’s a great idea. But, hmmm, I failed to get the information from the quilters. You are so right that the people who do the quilt stitching with their amazing sewing machines with the super long arms make all the difference in a beautiful quilt. The “quilters” I wrote about often do only the piecing. I still remember that beautiful baby quilt you bargained for in China in 2013
I’m not so sure that quilt is exactly beautiful — it is covered with crocheted arachnids — spiders, scorpions and the like. But I do enjoy it and I greatly appreciated the other women in our travel group cheering my purchase on as my husband rolled his eyes.
