The newish jeans are from Jones New York; the early ’60s kilt is from Florence Walsh, Hyde Park, N.Y.,

I have one in red. Florence Walsh, Hyde Park, NY. Lord and Taylor. The leather buckles need replacing.

The straps on my buckles are showing their age too!

Do you have sweaters or dresses from the Village Store?

Judith, The kilt and the Pendleton skirt in this post might have come from the Village Store. I don’t remember.

Note to readers: The Village Store was a charming shop in Birmingham, Michigan, where you could buy crew neck sweaters and oxford cloth button-down shirts. I mostly shopped at nearby Jacobson’s and Kay Baum’s. Things were a little cheaper at those two stores.

Do you have this for sale? What size and how much?

Judi, Thanks for asking. But I wouldn’t part with my old kilt for anything. Well, almost anything. I’m still thinking I’ll fit into it again some day.
