They Did It — They Got Married (And the Bride Was Beautiful)

Christina Newhall, the bride was beautiful on her wedding day. No, that is not a purple headdress; it’s a jacaranda tree in full bloom.  The photographer was so enchanted by her daughter that she forgot to do a background check. Photo by Barbara Newhall

They did it. They got married. And the bride was beautiful.

No post last week because Jon and I were too busy running around doing last-minute errands — planning the Sunday morning farewell brunch, picking up the wedding gown, that kind of thing.

The bride was beautiful. The setting was exquisite — three tall jacaranda trees were in full bloom, so were banks of white roses. The Irish band, Alehouse Fire, kept everyone on their toes. Friends and family showed up from near and far. The bride beamed with joy at her new husband. And the groom beamed back.

It was magical. Everything a mother could wish for her daughter — and her brand new son-in-law. Yea!
