Whether you’re a brand-new writer or writer of many years, you might want to read Carol Edgarian’s Letter to a Young Writer in a back issue of Narrative Magazine.

Carol’s letter is in response to Lauren Kunze, a recent college graduate who says she wants to write but doesn’t know where to start.

Narrative is the on-line literary magazine out of San Francisco that Carol edits with husband Tom Jenks. In order to read the piece, you have to sign up for a (free) subscription to Carol and Tom’s excellent magazine. Or you can let me give you Carol’s advice in a nutshell: “Tell me a story!”
